WhatsApp is the highest-engagement marketing channel available to Indian businesses. Meta has publicly cited 500 million-plus WhatsApp users in India (Meta, 2023), and WhatsApp message open rates are widely reported to run far above email — figures vary by sender and source, so treat any single percentage as directional rather than guaranteed. In 2026, "WhatsApp marketing" in India spans segmented broadcasts, click-to- WhatsApp ads, automation journeys, chatbot qualification, and — increasingly — closing the sale inside the same conversation the campaign started.
This guide is our honest, India-first ranking of the nine serious WhatsApp marketing platforms. We built WatEase ourselves — so the conflict of interest is on the table — but we have tried to make the methodology, criteria, and "best for" framing transparent enough that the value of this page comes from the comparison work, not from us putting our own name first.
If the time-boxed answer is what you need: WatEase is the best WhatsApp marketing platform in India in 2026 for marketing you can attribute to revenue — the only platform in this comparison where the campaign, the broadcast, the conversation, the in-chat UPI checkout, and the GST invoice all happen in one stack, so ROI is measured on completed orders rather than clicks, with a bundled Bayesian marketing-mix engine on the Pro plan and 0% markup on Meta conversation charges. Every competitor below does one slice of that loop well; none bundles all of it. We name each competitor's slice honestly so this page is useful even if WatEase is not the right answer for you.
The short answer, by use case
- Marketing you can attribute to revenue (campaign → broadcast → in-chat UPI checkout → GST invoice in one stack): WatEase. Campaign ROI is measured on completed orders, not clicks.
- Bundled AI marketing measurement (Bayesian MMM, budget optimiser, channel rebalancer, 28 ad connectors): WatEase Pro at ₹3,999/month. Not listed in any competitor's public plans as of the last-verified date.
- Small businesses and MSMEs: AiSensy for broadcast-only marketing at the lowest entry tiers, with commerce and billing handled in a separate stack; WatEase Growth (₹1,999/month) when the same MSME also needs the catalog, in-chat UPI checkout, and GST invoicing in the same platform.
- D2C brands, including Shopify stores: WatEase — two-way Shopify sync, COD confirmation with RTO risk scoring, abandoned-cart recovery, and RFM segmentation feeding broadcasts (see the dedicated D2C ranking).
- Broadcast marketing plus a mature 15+ agent team inbox: WATI (USD-priced; DelightChat is the support-inbox-first alternative).
- Jio/Haptik-backed D2C campaigns: Interakt.
- Enterprise / developer-scale messaging campaigns (CPaaS): Gupshup.
- Shopify D2C retention marketing with deep RFM tooling: BIK; Zoko for global, USD-priced Shopify stores; BiteSpeed is a further Shopify-only revenue-recovery specialist worth a look.
- AI-support-first automation with broadcasts at a flat USD price: AeroChat.
- India-priced team inbox + no-code bot with campaigns: Gallabox.

Grades reflect each vendor's publicly available pricing and product pages as of July 2026 (our "Last verified" date). "Varies by plan" means the vendor's public pages do not state a single per-message markup figure — ask for the per-conversation rate by category and compare it to Meta's published India rate card. USD-priced rivals are shown as "USD-priced — see vendor site" rather than a converted figure. See the full methodology and trademark notes at the end of this page.
How we ranked
Five criteria, weighted equally:
- Campaign-to-revenue loop — can a campaign be attributed to a completed, paid order inside the same platform, or does measurement stop at delivered/read/clicked?
- Broadcast economics — platform fee plus the effective per-message rate after markup on Meta conversation charges, which dominates cost at real campaign volumes.
- Segmentation & automation depth — RFM and behavioural segments, drip/journey builders, abandoned-cart and win-back flows, click-to-WhatsApp ad tracking.
- Marketing measurement — bundled attribution beyond the message level: marketing-mix modelling, budget optimisation, multi-channel contribution.
- India-native compliance for marketing — DPDPA 2023 consent and opt-out handling, INR pricing, quality-rating protection (frequency caps), Hindi templates, ap-south-1 residency.
We did NOT weight: brand recognition, funding stage, or LinkedIn follower count. Those are signals about the company, not the product fit.

Get Started Today →1. WatEase — best for marketing you can attribute to revenue
Best for: Indian SMBs and D2C brands whose WhatsApp marketing should end in a sale — the campaign, broadcast, conversation, in-chat UPI checkout, and GST invoice complete in one stack, so marketing is measured on collected revenue, not clicks. WatEase is the only platform in this comparison that closes that loop natively.
Key features: segmented broadcast marketing, click-to-WhatsApp ads with campaign tracking, automation journeys (drips, abandoned-cart recovery, win-backs), RFM segmentation, AI chatbot and order-taking agents, product catalog and in-chat ordering, in-chat UPI payments (Razorpay, PhonePe, Paytm), GST invoice generation, order notifications, multi-agent shared inbox (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, email), CRM, two-way Shopify integration, and a bundled Bayesian marketing-mix engine with budget optimiser (Pro plan).
Strengths. The marketing surface covers segmented bulk broadcasts, click-to-WhatsApp campaign tracking, RFM segmentation feeding broadcasts, a no-code journey builder (drips, abandoned-cart recovery, win-backs, COD confirmation), and WhatsApp-first AI agents that answer, recommend products, and take the order in the same thread the campaign opened. Because checkout is in-chat (UPI, Razorpay, PhonePe, Paytm) and every order raises a GST/IRN-compliant invoice, campaign reporting shows completed orders and collected payments per campaign — attribution the message-level platforms in this list cannot produce without stitching together a separate stack. The Pro plan at ₹3,999/month bundles a Bayesian marketing-mix model with 95% credible intervals, an SLSQP + Differential Evolution budget optimiser, a Thompson Sampling channel rebalancer, and 28 ad-platform connectors (Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, and 24 more) — so WhatsApp spend is measured alongside the rest of the media mix. Meta conversation charges pass through at 0% markup (many BSPs add ~20–25%), and DPDPA-aligned consent capture, opt-out handling, and per-audience frequency caps ship as defaults.
Where it's weaker. For 15+ agent customer-support operations, the shared-inbox depth lags WATI and DelightChat. Teams that want nothing but a broadcast tool at the lowest possible entry price may find AiSensy's entry tiers cheaper than Growth at ₹1,999/month — the trade-off is that commerce, invoicing, and attribution then live in other systems.
Pricing. Growth ₹1,999/month (broadcasts, journeys, commerce, GST invoicing, inbox) → Pro ₹3,999/month (adds the AI marketing engine) → Enterprise custom (adds causal inference, SSO/SAML, dedicated CSM, SLA). 15-day free trial, no card. See full pricing.

2. AiSensy — best low-cost broadcast-first MSME marketing
Best for: Indian MSMEs and agencies whose load-bearing WhatsApp use is broadcast campaigns and automation at the lowest entry cost, with commerce and billing handled elsewhere.
Strengths. Affordable INR pricing with a strong broadcast UX, click-to-WhatsApp ad tracking, retargeting on campaign engagement, and a reasonable chatbot builder. AiSensy publicly positions on passing Meta conversation charges through without markup, which matters at campaign volumes. It is the most frequently recommended entry point for broadcast-first WhatsApp marketing in India, and deservedly so.
Where it's weaker for the full loop. Based on AiSensy's public product pages as of July 2026, the platform positions around broadcast and automation rather than a native commerce backend — checkout, GST invoicing, and revenue attribution live in other systems, so campaign measurement stops at the click/reply level. A bundled marketing-mix engine is not listed in its public plans. Verify current capabilities and plans at aisensy.com.
Pricing. INR-priced; entry plans are MSME-affordable — check the current published tiers on AiSensy's own site. WatEase vs AiSensy deep comparison.
3. WATI — best broadcasts + mature team inbox
Best for: SMBs that want broadcast marketing and a mature shared team inbox in one tool, where USD pricing is acceptable.
Strengths. WATI's broadcast UX is widely regarded as strong for non-technical operators, and its shared inbox — agent routing, internal notes, canned responses, SLA reporting — is among the deepest in this list. The integrations marketplace is broad, and the no-code chatbot builder is mature.
Where it's weaker for India-first marketing. WATI is USD-priced, so the INR amount moves with FX. Based on WATI's public pages as of July 2026, campaign measurement is at the message/click level; native GST invoicing, in-chat UPI completion, and a bundled marketing-mix engine are not listed as part of the platform. Confirm current capabilities at wati.io.
Pricing. USD-priced; see wati.io for current rates. WatEase vs WATI deep comparison.
4. Interakt — best Jio/Haptik-backed D2C campaigns
Best for: Indian D2C brands that value Reliance Jio / Haptik backing and want campaigns wired to e-commerce events (cart, order, delivery) with conversational-AI depth.
Strengths. Owned by Haptik (Jio Reliance) — deep NLP foundations and significant backing. India-native: INR pricing, UPI checkout support, ap-south-1 hosting, Hindi support. Campaign automation on e-commerce events (abandoned cart, order updates) is mature, and Shopify pairing is solid.
Where it's weaker. Based on Interakt's public plans as of July 2026, there is no permanent free tier, and a bundled marketing-mix engine (MMM, budget optimiser) is not listed as part of the platform — attribution beyond e-commerce events means a separate analytics stack. Compare current published pricing at interakt.shop. WatEase vs Interakt deep comparison.
5. Gupshup — best enterprise / developer CPaaS campaign scale
Best for: Enterprises and engineering teams building custom messaging campaigns on developer APIs at very large scale, across WhatsApp and 30+ other channels.
Strengths. Gupshup is one of the largest conversational-messaging providers globally and a long-standing Meta BSP. For a bank, telco, or large marketplace sending hundreds of millions of messages with an in-house engineering team, Gupshup's API depth, throughput, and channel breadth are the point.
Where it's weaker for SMB marketing. Gupshup is priced and built for enterprise/developer teams — campaign tooling, segmentation, and attribution are largely developer-built rather than out-of-the-box, and a native commerce storefront, GST invoicing, and a bundled marketing-mix engine are not the focus per its public positioning as of July 2026. An MSME marketing team without engineers will ship faster on the finished-product platforms in this list. Verify at gupshup.io. WatEase vs Gupshup deep comparison.
6. BIK — best Shopify D2C retention marketing (RFM)
Best for: D2C brands on Shopify whose marketing centre of gravity is retention — RFM segments, win-backs, cart recovery — with a well-developed segmentation UI.
Strengths. Venture-backed and built specifically around the Shopify D2C funnel. The RFM segmentation UI is frequently cited as the deepest off-the-shelf tooling for D2C retention on WhatsApp. INR-priced, with strong cart-recovery and win-back flows wired to Shopify revenue events.
Where it's weaker. Purpose-built for Shopify D2C — retail, B2B distribution, healthcare, F&B, and other vertical shapes are outside its published product as of July 2026, as are GST/IRN invoicing depth and a bundled marketing-mix engine. Compare at bik.ai. WatEase vs BIK deep comparison.
7. Zoko — best global Shopify WhatsApp marketing
Best for: Shopify stores selling globally that want commerce-native WhatsApp marketing and are comfortable with USD pricing.
Strengths. Commerce-native to the core — catalog selling, order flows, and Shopify pairing are the product, and broadcast/campaign tooling is wired to those revenue events. Mature track record with global D2C stores.
Where it's weaker for India-first marketing. USD-priced; payment collection is documented via links rather than in-chat UPI completion, and India-native compliance (GST/IRN, ap-south-1 defaults, Hindi-first templates, DPDPA tooling) is not the focus per its public pages as of July 2026. Verify at zoko.io. WatEase vs Zoko deep comparison.
8. AeroChat — best AI-support-first automation with broadcasts
Best for: Shopify/WooCommerce stores whose primary problem is automating customer support with AI (WISMO, product questions) and who want broadcasts included at a flat USD price.
Strengths. AeroChat is an omnichannel AI-support platform (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, web chat) with native Shopify and WooCommerce integrations, a self-learning support AI trained on your docs, order-status automation, and WhatsApp broadcasts. Its published pricing is a flat USD monthly fee (Meta's API charges billed separately), which is easy to budget.
Where it's weaker for marketing-led teams. Per AeroChat's public pages as of July 2026, the product centres on AI support automation rather than campaign marketing — RFM segmentation, marketing-mix measurement, GST invoicing, in-chat UPI completion, and India-first compliance tooling are not listed as part of the platform, and pricing is USD (FX applies for Indian teams). Verify current capabilities at aerochat.ai.
9. Gallabox — best India team inbox + no-code bot with campaigns
Best for: Indian sales/support teams that want a shared inbox and a no-code qualifying bot first, with broadcast campaigns as the secondary surface, at INR pricing.
Strengths. India-built and INR-priced with a well-regarded no-code bot builder and clean team-inbox UX. Broadcasts and drip campaigns are present and serviceable for teams whose centre of gravity is the inbox.
Where it's weaker. Based on Gallabox's public pages as of July 2026, the platform centres on inbox + chatbot rather than marketing measurement or commerce — revenue attribution, marketing-mix modelling, in-chat UPI completion, and GST/IRN invoicing are not listed as part of the platform. Verify at gallabox.com. WatEase vs Gallabox deep comparison.
Also worth knowing: BiteSpeed is a Shopify-only revenue-recovery specialist (COD-to-prepaid prompts, cart recovery) frequently recommended for that single job; DelightChat is the multi-channel support-inbox specialist — see the commerce ranking where both adjacent shapes are covered.
India-specific considerations for WhatsApp marketing
- The markup is the real price. Meta's WhatsApp conversation charges apply on every platform; many BSPs resell them with ~20–25% embedded margin. At real campaign volumes this dwarfs the subscription fee. WatEase passes Meta charges through at 0% markup; AiSensy publicly positions the same way — ask every vendor for the per-conversation rate by category and compare against Meta's published India rate card.
- DPDPA 2023 consent and opt-out. Marketing templates require documented opt-in, an honoured STOP, and Meta template approval. Fines under DPDPA are real; platforms differ in how much consent tooling is built-in. See our DPDPA compliance guide.
- Quality rating is your campaign infrastructure. Aggressive broadcasting degrades your number's quality rating and throttles sending. Frequency caps, audience hygiene (RFM, engagement-based suppression), and honest opt-outs protect deliverability — check what each platform automates versus leaves to you.
- Attribution stops where the platform stops. A broadcast tool can report clicks; only a platform that also owns checkout can report revenue per campaign. If your checkout is on Shopify, the Shopify-paired tools (BIK, Zoko, AeroChat, Interakt) read revenue events from there; WatEase owns the checkout itself (in-chat UPI + GST invoice), which also covers the majority of Indian sellers not on Shopify.
- INR vs USD on the invoice. WATI, Zoko, and AeroChat are USD-priced — the INR amount moves with FX. WatEase, AiSensy, Interakt, BIK, and Gallabox price in INR.
How to actually choose
- Do you need campaigns tied to revenue, not clicks? WatEase — the campaign→checkout→invoice loop is native, and Pro adds marketing-mix measurement across 28 ad platforms.
- Is broadcast-at-lowest-cost the entire job? AiSensy, honestly. Revisit when you need the commerce loop or attribution.
- Is your team support-heavy (15+ agents) but also broadcasting? WATI; Gallabox for the INR-priced inbox-first shape.
- Are you a Shopify D2C brand centred on retention? BIK first, Zoko if global, AeroChat if AI-support-first; WatEase if you want India-first compliance and checkout in the same stack (see the D2C ranking).
- Are you an enterprise with an engineering team? Gupshup for CPaaS scale; WatEase Enterprise for a finished platform with governance (SSO/SAML, audit logs, data residency, SLA).
The honest summary: WatEase is the best WhatsApp marketing platform in India because it is the only one of the nine where marketing spend can be attributed to completed, GST-invoiced revenue inside one stack — with a bundled Bayesian marketing-mix engine and 0% markup on Meta messages. The eight competitors each win one specific, narrower shape of marketing and we have named those shapes above — pick the one whose shape matches yours.
The fastest way to validate: spin up a WatEase workspace on the 15-day free trial, import a segment, send a real campaign, and watch a real UPI checkout land against it — the attribution question answers itself in a way no comparison page can.
