How the rates work

Meta charges per conversation — a 24-hour window between your business and one customer phone number — not per message. Rates are set per country and per category. India rates as of 2026:

Rates shown are Meta's wholesale conversation rates for India. BSPs may add a markup on top. The WatEase Free Forever plan passes Meta rates through at cost; the Professional plan (₹999/month) bundles unlimited platform usage on top of Meta's pass-through rates.

How to use the calculator

  1. Estimate the number of Marketing conversations you send per month — broadcasts, promotional flows, abandoned cart.
  2. Estimate Utility — transactional messages tied to an existing relationship.
  3. Estimate Authentication — OTPs and login codes.
  4. Service replies are free; the field is optional and does not affect the total.
  5. The calculator multiplies each by the India rate and sums to a monthly total in INR.

Tips to lower your bill

  • Route every transactional alert as Utility, never Marketing — order confirmations, payment receipts, shipping updates all qualify.
  • Design support flows so replies happen inside the free 24-hour Service window after a customer message.
  • Segment broadcasts so you don't blast the entire list — that protects quality rating and avoids tier downgrades that compress messaging volume.
  • For OTPs above 100,000/month, consider Meta's Authentication International rates which can be cheaper for some international destinations.
