A WhatsApp Business Solution Provider is a company Meta has authorised to resell access to the WhatsApp Business API. BSPs run the infrastructure that connects merchants to the API, handle Meta Business Verification, manage template submission and approval, bill conversations in local currency, and add product layers on top — broadcast tools, catalog management, multi-agent inboxes, automation, AI chatbots. Direct API access without a BSP is possible only for very large enterprises that go through Meta's separate solution-partner programme; everyone else uses a BSP.
