Account Update WhatsApp Templates
Account update messages tell a customer that something about their account has changed — KYC is due, a statement is ready, a nominee was added, contact details were altered. Their real job is security: a customer who is told immediately that their registered mobile number was changed is a customer who can stop an account takeover in progress. Send these on the change, not in a monthly digest.

1. KYC update due

2. Contact details changed (security alert)

4. Nominee added

Best for: Confirming any change to nomination — and catching one the customer did not make.
5. Cheque bounced / mandate failed

Which account changes deserve an immediate message?
Anything that could be an attacker rather than the customer: a change of registered mobile number or email, a new payee added, a device or channel enrolment, a large or unusual transaction, and any change to nomination. These are the footprints of an account takeover, and the customer is the only person who can tell you in real time that it was not them.
Can I send account statements as WhatsApp attachments?
Yes — WhatsApp templates support a document header, so the statement PDF rides along with the message. Password-protect the PDF for anything sensitive, using a scheme the customer already knows, and keep the balance figures in the attachment rather than the visible message body where a lock-screen preview would expose them.
