Loan Approval WhatsApp Templates

A loan approval message tells an applicant their loan is sanctioned, with the amount, the rate, the tenure, and what happens next. Speed is the whole product here: applicants who have been waiting anxiously often choose the lender who told them first, and WhatsApp gets the news to them in seconds rather than a letter or an email they may not open. Always state the next step — an approval with no instruction just creates another phone call.

Meta billing category

Templates on this page are typically approved as Utility, billed at ~₹0.115 per message (India).

Transactional — tied to an order, account, or appointment the customer already has. Cheapest category. Adding promotional lines risks Meta reclassifying it as Marketing at ~7.5x the cost.

Copy-ready templates

Replace the {{placeholders}} with your platform’s variables before submitting to Meta for approval.

1. Loan approved

Great news {{name}} — your loan is approved! 🎉 Amount: ₹{{amount}} Interest rate: {{interest_rate}}% p.a. Tenure: {{tenure_months}} months EMI: ₹{{emi_amount}}/month Next step: complete your e-sign here — {{esign_link}} Questions? Just reply.

Best for: The moment underwriting clears. Being first to say yes wins the customer.

2. Conditionally approved (documents pending)

Hi {{name}}, your loan of ₹{{amount}} is approved in principle. ✅ One thing left — we need: {{pending_documents}} Upload securely here: {{upload_link}} Once received, funds are disbursed within {{disbursal_hours}} hours.

Best for: Approval that is blocked on paperwork. Naming the exact document unblocks it fastest.

3. Disbursed

Hi {{name}}, your loan has been disbursed. 💰 Amount: ₹{{amount}} Credited to: account ending {{account_last4}} Date: {{disbursal_date}} Your first EMI of ₹{{emi_amount}} is due on {{first_emi_date}}. Repayment schedule attached.

Best for: On disbursal. Setting the first EMI date now prevents the first default.

4. Application declined (respectfully)

Hi {{name}}, thank you for applying to {{lender_name}}. We are not able to approve this application right now. This is not a permanent no — you are welcome to apply again after {{reapply_period}}. If you would like to understand what would strengthen a future application, reply and we will talk you through it.

Best for: Declines. Handled with dignity, a decline today is an approved customer next year.

5. Approval expiring

Hi {{name}}, your approved loan of ₹{{amount}} is still waiting on your e-sign. ⏳ The sanction expires on {{expiry_date}}, after which the application has to be re-assessed. Complete it in 2 minutes: {{esign_link}} Need help? Reply and a person will call you.

Best for: Approved-but-not-signed applicants, 2–3 days before the sanction lapses.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly should a loan approval be communicated?

Immediately, and automatically. In lending, speed of communication is close to the whole competitive advantage — applicants routinely accept the first lender who confirms, not the cheapest one. Firing the approval template off the underwriting decision event, rather than waiting for someone to send it manually, is the entire optimisation.

Should a rejection be sent on WhatsApp too?

Yes, and it should be written with care. Silence is worse than a no: the applicant keeps waiting, keeps calling, and remembers the lender that left them hanging. A respectful decline that explains when they can reapply costs you one Utility message and preserves a customer you may well approve later.
