Booking Payment Confirmation WhatsApp Templates
A booking payment confirmation tells a traveller that their money has landed — the amount, the reference, and what is now confirmed because of it. It is the message that stops the anxious "has my payment gone through, is my room actually held?" call, and in travel that anxiety is acute because the amounts are large and the trip is months away. Send it the second the payment settles, with the booking reference, and pair every outstanding balance with a UPI link so it can be cleared in one tap.
Meta billing category
Templates on this page are typically approved as Utility, billed at ~₹0.115 per message (India).
Transactional — tied to an order, account, or appointment the customer already has. Cheapest category. Adding promotional lines risks Meta reclassifying it as Marketing at ~7.5x the cost.

1. Advance received — booking held
Payment received, {{name}}. ✅ ₹{{advance_amount}} received on {{payment_date}} Reference: {{payment_reference}} Your booking {{booking_ref}} is confirmed and held. {{hotel_name}} | {{checkin_date}} → {{checkout_date}} Balance of ₹{{balance_amount}} is due by {{due_date}}: {{upi_link}} Receipt attached.
Best for: The instant an advance settles. It converts a nervous payer into a confirmed guest in one message.
2. Paid in full — with GST invoice
Paid in full, {{name}}. ✅ Booking {{booking_ref}} | {{trip_title}} Base: ₹{{taxable_value}} GST ({{gst_rate}}%): ₹{{gst_amount}} Total paid: ₹{{amount}} Reference: {{payment_reference}} GST invoice attached — you will need it for reimbursement. Need your company GSTIN ({{buyer_gstin}}) on it? Reply and we will reissue. Nothing further is due. See you on {{trip_start_date}}.
Best for: Corporate and business travel, where the invoice is chased far more often than the confirmation.
3. Balance reminder before travel
Hi {{name}}, the balance on booking {{booking_ref}} is due on {{due_date}}. Balance: ₹{{balance_amount}} Trip: {{trip_title}}, starting {{trip_start_date}} Pay in one tap by UPI: {{upi_link}} Card or net banking: {{payment_link}} Already paid? Please ignore this — and thank you.
Best for: 3 days before the balance due date. Most on-time balance payments come from this one message.
4. Payment failed — retry
Hi {{name}}, your payment of ₹{{amount}} for booking {{booking_ref}} did not go through on {{attempt_date}}. Nothing has been deducted. If your bank shows a debit, it will reverse itself within {{settlement_days}} working days. Try again here: {{upi_link}} We are holding your booking until {{hold_expiry_time}}. Trouble paying? Reply and we will sort it out.
Best for: The moment a payment fails. The "nothing has been deducted" line is what stops the panic — say it before anything else.
5. Refund processed
Hi {{name}}, your refund is processed. 💰 Amount: ₹{{refund_amount}} Against: booking {{booking_ref}} Reference: {{payment_reference}} Back to: {{payment_mode}} It should reflect within {{settlement_days}} working days — that is a bank timeline, not ours. {{cancellation_charge_line}} Any questions, just reply.
Best for: On refund initiation. Stating the deduction openly, in the same message, is what keeps a cancelled customer as a customer.
6. Package instalment received
Instalment {{installment_number}} received, {{name}}. ✅ ₹{{amount}} on {{payment_date}} Reference: {{payment_reference}} {{package_name}} — booking {{booking_ref}} Paid so far: ₹{{total_paid}} Still due: ₹{{balance_amount}} Next instalment: ₹{{next_installment_amount}} on {{next_due_date}} Pay early any time: {{upi_link}}
Best for: Agencies that let travellers pay a package off in parts. Showing the running total is what keeps people paying.

Frequently asked questions
Is a payment confirmation Utility or Marketing?
Utility. It confirms a transaction the customer has already made, so Meta approves it under Utility at roughly ₹0.115 per message in India rather than about ₹0.8631 for Marketing — a ~7.5x gap on a message you send after literally every payment. Keep it purely about the money and the booking; a "your next holiday awaits" line at the bottom is exactly what gets it reclassified.
How do I take a balance payment inside WhatsApp?
Put a UPI link in the message body as a variable like {{upi_link}}, or use a call-to-action button with a dynamic URL. A gateway-hosted UPI page is more reliable across devices than a raw upi:// intent, and it gives you a payment webhook — so the reminder sequence can stop itself the moment the traveller pays. WatEase generates the link and reconciles the payment back to the booking automatically.
Should the refund message state the cancellation charge?
Yes, in the same message, plainly. A traveller who was quoted ₹40,000 and sees ₹34,000 arrive will assume they have been cheated, and they will say so publicly. Naming the deduction, and the clause it came from, in the refund message turns a grievance into an accepted fact — and it costs you nothing you had not already charged.

- Hotel Booking Confirmation WhatsApp TemplatesA hotel booking confirmation is the message that tells a guest their room is held — with the booking reference, the dates, the room type, the number of guests, and the property's phone number. WhatsApp beats email for this because a confirmation buried in an inbox is useless at a reception desk at 11 pm with no data pack; a WhatsApp thread is right there, offline, in the chat the guest already has open. Send it within seconds of the booking, and send it again the day before arrival.
- Travel Itinerary WhatsApp TemplatesA travel itinerary message is the whole trip in one chat — flights, PNRs, hotels, transfers, and day-by-day plans — delivered where the traveller can reach it without data. This is the single strongest case for WhatsApp over email in travel: a traveller standing at an immigration counter in another country, phone on airplane mode, can still scroll back to the message. Send the full itinerary on booking, then a short day-before message for each day that has something in it.
- UPI Payment Request WhatsApp TemplatesA UPI payment request is a WhatsApp message that asks a customer to pay a specific amount and carries a tap-to-pay UPI link, so the payment happens inside the chat in seconds. It is the fastest way an Indian business gets paid: no invoice email, no bank details typed by hand, no "send me your QR" back-and-forth. Send it the moment an amount becomes payable, and pair it with an automatic receipt when the money lands.
- GST Invoice WhatsApp TemplatesA GST invoice message delivers a tax-compliant invoice PDF to the customer on WhatsApp, with the taxable value, the CGST/SGST or IGST split, and both GSTINs on the document itself. For Indian B2B sellers this closes the most tedious loop in the business: buyers stop emailing "please send the GST invoice", and the whole purchase record lives in one searchable chat thread. The message delivers the invoice — it does not file anything with the GST portal.
