New Model Launch WhatsApp Templates
A new model launch message announces a car arriving at your showroom — the model, the launch date, the starting price, and a way to book a first look or a test drive. This one is unambiguously promotional, which makes it a Marketing template: it needs marketing opt-in, an opt-out line, and it costs the Marketing rate. It also needs restraint. A launch is genuinely exciting news to the right list, and pure noise to everyone else, so send it to people who have shown interest in that segment rather than to every number you hold.
Meta billing category
Templates on this page are typically approved as Marketing, billed at ~₹0.8631 per message (India).
Promotional — offers, launches, and re-engagement. Requires marketing opt-in, and an opt-out hint ("Reply STOP") is good etiquette that keeps your block rate and quality rating healthy.

1. Launch announcement
🚗 The new {{model_name}} arrives at {{dealership_name}}. Launching {{launch_date}} Starting at ₹{{starting_price}} ex-showroom {{model_highlights}} Want a first look before the showroom floor gets busy? Reply BOOK and we will keep a slot for you. Reply STOP to opt out of offers.
Best for: Your opted-in list, about a week before launch day. Segment it — a hatch buyer does not want an SUV launch.
2. Early viewing for existing customers
Hi {{name}}, you have driven a {{old_model_name}} with us for {{ownership_years}} years — so you get to see the new {{model_name}} before anyone else. 🚗 Preview: {{preview_date}}, {{test_drive_time}} 📍 {{dealership_name}}, {{showroom_address}} No pitch, no pressure, chai on us. Reply YES to come. Reply STOP to opt out of offers.
Best for: Existing owners, before the public launch. The cheapest goodwill a dealership can buy.
3. Bookings open
Bookings for the {{model_name}} are now open at {{dealership_name}}. 🚗 Booking amount: ₹{{booking_amount}} (fully refundable) Deliveries begin: {{delivery_date}} Starting at ₹{{starting_price}} ex-showroom Book in chat: {{upi_link}} Reply STOP to opt out of offers.
Best for: The day bookings open. Refundable must mean refundable — say it only if it is true.
4. Test drives now available
Hi {{name}}, the {{model_name}} is now on our test-drive fleet. 🚗 {{model_highlights}} Slots this week: {{slot_one}}, {{slot_two}}, {{slot_three}} Reply with one and it is yours for an hour — no obligation, no follow-up calls unless you ask for them. Reply STOP to opt out of offers.
Best for: The week the demo car lands. Enquiries convert far better once someone has actually driven it.
5. Confirmed price revision (only if real)
Hi {{name}}, a factual heads-up on the {{model_name}} you were looking at. {{manufacturer_name}} has confirmed a price revision from {{price_change_date}}: ex-showroom moves from ₹{{old_price}} to ₹{{new_price}}. Bookings made before that date are honoured at the current price. That is the whole message — no pressure from us. Reply STOP to opt out of offers.
Best for: ONLY when the manufacturer has actually announced it. Never manufacture this urgency.

Frequently asked questions
Is a new model launch Utility or Marketing?
Marketing, without any argument. It promotes a product the customer has not enquired about, so it needs an approved Marketing template at roughly ₹0.8631 per message in India — around 7.5x the ₹0.115 Utility rate — plus explicit marketing opt-in and an opt-out hint in the copy. Dealerships sometimes try to disguise a launch as a "service update" to get the Utility price. Meta reclassifies it, and your quality rating pays for the attempt.
Who should actually receive a launch broadcast?
People who plausibly want that car: past enquirers in the segment, existing owners due for an upgrade, and anyone who opted in for launch news. Blasting a ₹40-lakh SUV launch to your entire database earns you blocks, and blocks damage the WhatsApp quality rating that governs your messaging limits for every customer you have — including the service reminders that actually make you money.
Can we say prices are going up to push bookings?
Only if the manufacturer has actually announced a revision, and then say it as a plain fact with the date and the two prices. Invented urgency is the oldest trick in the showroom and buyers have long since stopped believing it. A customer who books under a fake deadline and later discovers the price never moved does not come back for a service, let alone a second car.
Related template sets
- Test Drive Booking WhatsApp TemplatesA test-drive booking message confirms that a customer has a car booked to drive — the model, the date, the time, and where to turn up. WhatsApp beats a phone call here for a simple reason: car buyers do not answer calls from dealership numbers, but they do read WhatsApp, and they will happily pick a slot in a chat they can come back to later. Send the confirmation the moment the slot is booked, and put the showroom address in the message so nobody has to ring back for directions.
- Showroom Follow-Up WhatsApp TemplatesA showroom follow-up is the message you send after someone walks into your showroom, enquires online, or takes a test drive — answering what they actually asked, not restarting the pitch. Buyers duck dealership phone calls precisely because they expect a sales script; the same person will read a WhatsApp message that quietly contains the on-road price they came in for. Send the first within a few hours of the visit, while they still remember which dealership you are.
- Vehicle Delivery Update WhatsApp TemplatesA vehicle delivery update walks a buyer through the wait between booking and keys — allotment, VIN, registration paperwork, and the delivery appointment itself. This is the emotional peak of the whole purchase and, handled badly, its emotional low: a buyer who has paid lakhs and hears nothing for six weeks will chase you daily, and remember the silence long after they forget the discount. Message on every real milestone, and say plainly when there is nothing new.
- Product Launch WhatsApp TemplatesA product launch message announces something new to opted-in customers, with an image, the price, and a link to buy. WhatsApp suits launches better than email because the message is seen within minutes rather than hours, which is what makes limited drops and first-batch pre-orders actually work. Warm your best customers up first, then go wide.
